The mother gives a piece of cake to the daughter but saves the bigger chunk for the son. She hugs her Mother overjoyed and promises, ‘I will tidy up the room every day, Mummy.’

The wife places her love child in her husband’s arms and says, “This is your child”. With tears in his eyes, he whispers in her ear, “I will build an empire for him”

The father closes a major business deal and the merger concludes with a big fat wedding. The bride’s eyes are blinded with the dazzle of diamonds and she tells her friends, “I haven’t met the groom but Daddy knows what’s best for me.”

Acts of Love!

The mother-in-law surreptitious makes a jasmine chain for her son’s mistress but comforts his wife who silently prays “Thank you, God, for giving me a loving Mother-in-law”.

All these acts of love are served in a decorated platter airbrushed with the glitters of gold.

Would you remember to remind them the old proverb, ‘All that glitters is not gold’
